Frequently Asked Questions

Fast answers covering research use, product quality, certificates, ordering, shipping, storage, compliance, and support.

We prioritize transparency, third-party verification, and educational resources. Every product batch is independently tested with full documentation available. Our focus is on supporting legitimate research institutions and laboratories with consistent quality and reliable supply chains.

Products are sold for research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption.

We partner with GMP-certified manufacturing facilities that specialize in peptide synthesis. Our role is quality assurance, independent testing, and distribution to research facilities. We do not operate manufacturing facilities directly.

Research peptides require proper handling, storage, and application knowledge. We believe informed researchers produce better science. Our educational resources help laboratories understand peptide characteristics, stability factors, and appropriate research methodologies.

Every product includes a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) from an independent third-party laboratory. These certificates detail HPLC and MS testing results, batch numbers, and purity percentages. All certificates are available for download before purchase.

Third-party testing means an independent laboratory with no financial interest in the product verifies its contents. This eliminates bias and ensures objective quality assessment. We use ISO 17025 accredited laboratories for all testing.

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) refers to facilities that follow strict quality control protocols for production environments, equipment calibration, personnel training, and documentation. Our manufacturing partners maintain GMP compliance for pharmaceutical-grade synthesis capabilities.

Certificates & Testing

A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is a document from an accredited laboratory confirming a product's identity, purity, and quality. It includes testing methods used, results obtained, batch identification, and laboratory credentials. CoAs are essential for research documentation and regulatory compliance.

New batches require time for synthesis, quality control, and independent laboratory testing. "Pending" status indicates the product is in production or awaiting third-party verification. We do not release products for sale until complete documentation is available.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) verifies purity and identifies impurities. Mass Spectrometry (MS) confirms molecular weight and identity. Together, these methods provide comprehensive characterization of peptide products for research applications.

Ordering & Shipping

Free standard shipping is available for domestic orders over $500. Express and international shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and required delivery speed. All shipments include tracking and signature confirmation.

Orders placed before 2 PM EST on business days typically ship same-day. Orders placed after cutoff or on weekends ship the next business day. Custom synthesis orders require additional lead time quoted at purchase.

We ship to most countries where research peptides are legally permitted. International customers are responsible for understanding and complying with their country's import regulations. Some destinations may require additional documentation or have restricted products.

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should remain sealed in their original packaging and stored at -20°C or colder, protected from light and moisture. Properly stored, most lyophilized peptides remain stable for 24 months or longer.

Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water or appropriate solvent, peptides should be aliquoted into single-use volumes and stored at -80°C for maximum stability. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which degrade peptide integrity.

Peptides are susceptible to degradation from temperature fluctuations, moisture, light exposure, and pH changes. Improper storage compromises research validity by altering peptide structure, concentration, or activity. Consistent storage protocols ensure reproducible results.

Selection depends on your research focus. Growth factor peptides suit cell proliferation studies. Signaling peptides work for pathway research. Review our category guides and published literature to identify peptides aligned with your experimental objectives.

Products are sold for research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption.

Researchers may combine peptides in experimental designs, but compatibility, solubility, and interaction effects must be validated in your specific model system. We offer pre-formulated research blends for common experimental combinations with documented stability data.

Start with our Research Fundamentals guide and glossary. Review peer-reviewed literature in your field to understand established protocols. Consider beginning with well-characterized peptides that have extensive publication history before exploring novel compounds.

"Research use only" designates that products are intended exclusively for laboratory research, not for human consumption, veterinary use, diagnostic procedures, or therapeutic applications. Purchase requires acknowledgment of this restriction. All products are labeled accordingly.

Products are sold for research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption.

Research peptides are not FDA approved for human use. They are chemical substances sold for laboratory investigation only. Any reference to clinical applications or therapeutic potential reflects research literature, not regulatory approval or marketing claims.

Research peptides are legal to purchase for legitimate laboratory research in most jurisdictions. Buyers must represent an authorized research entity or demonstrate appropriate research credentials. Laws vary by location; customers are responsible for compliance with local regulations.

Most products are supplied as lyophilized powder in sealed vials. Some specialized formats include pre-mixed solutions or custom concentrations. Each product page specifies available quantities, concentrations, and formulation details.

Research stacks combine peptides frequently studied together in published research. These groupings simplify procurement for researchers following established experimental protocols. Individual components remain available separately for customized research designs.

Many peptides have multiple research applications across different biological pathways. Categorization reflects primary research areas, but cross-referencing helps researchers discover relevant compounds regardless of their starting point in our catalog.

Support & Policies

Due to the sensitive nature of research materials, we accept returns only for products that arrive damaged or with documentation discrepancies. Contact support within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. Unopened products in original condition may be eligible for exchange.

Email support@peptideresearch.com for documentation, order, or product inquiries. Include your order number for faster resolution. Phone support is available for established institutional accounts. Response time is typically within 24 business hours.

Do not use the product. Contact support immediately with the batch number and specific discrepancy. We will verify with the testing laboratory and provide corrected documentation or replacement product at no charge if an error is confirmed.

Certificates of Analysis are linked on each product page and compiled in our Certificate Library. Filter by product name, batch number, or date range. Download PDFs for your research records or regulatory submissions.

Start with our Glossary of Terms for definitions of common acronyms and concepts. The Research Fundamentals guide explains peptide structure, synthesis methods, and analytical techniques. Product pages link to relevant terminology throughout.

Product pages provide specifications and certificates for procurement decisions. Research guides explain methodologies and applications. Articles explore specific research contexts and published findings. Together they support informed product selection and experimental design.
